Fiona

(Receptionist)

For the past 30+ years, Fiona has worked in veterinary medicine, with 20 of those years in veterinary dermatology.  In fact, Fiona has been with Southwest Veterinary Dermatology since it’s inception in 2004. When you arrive at our clinic, she will greet you with a smile and warmth that makes you feel welcome.

Fiona’s official title is Receptionist, but all the dogs know her as the “Cookie Lady”. In between handing out cookies and running the clinic’s social media pages, she does manage to get some work done and always strives to make your experience at SWVD a positive one.

Fiona enjoys spending time with her son, Ian and her favorite Australian Shepherd, Max.  She also likes traveling, photography, and listening to live music. In keeping with her love of animals, Fiona is currently pursuing her degree in Wildlife Conservation.

Colby
(Veterinary Assistant/Receptionist)

Colby was born and raised in the greater Houston area. He frequently visited his grandparent’s ranch where he developed a love for all animals, both big and small, at a very young age.

Colby came to visit us as a client with his American Hairless Terrier, “Predator” in 2016. Having a dermatology need dog of his own, along with 10+ years in veterinary medicine has made him a wonderful fit for Southwest Veterinary Dermatology. Colby joined our team in March of 2022. Whether you are speaking with Colby on the phone, or in person, he will immediately set you at ease and you will know your fur-baby is in good hands.

Colby enjoys spending time with his husband, David, and their four dogs (all American Hairless Terriers), and a menagerie of toads, chickens, box turtles and frogs.
